Position Title: General Manager – Projects (Real Estate)




Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Project Manager to oversee our real estate projects within our builder company. The General Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate development, construction management, and project management.


  1. Project Planning and Coordination:

– Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

– Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.

– Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, address issues, and mitigate risks.


  1. Budget and Cost Management:

– Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

– Monitor expenses, track financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.

– Review and approve project expenditures, invoices, and change orders.


  1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

– Establish and enforce quality standards for construction work, materials, and finishes.

– Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and specifications.

– Address any deviations from quality standards promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.


  1. Schedule and Timeline Management:

– Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies.

– Monitor progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and implement strategies to keep projects on track.

– Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.


  1. Risk Management and Problem Solving:

– Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies.

– Proactively address project challenges, conflicts, and unforeseen circumstances to minimize disruptions.

– Implement effective problem-solving techniques to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.


  1. Communication and Stakeholder Management:

– Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, investors, regulatory agencies, and community members.

– Facilitate clear and transparent communication among project teams, ensuring alignment on project objectives, priorities, and expectations.

– Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.




– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

– Proven experience in real estate development and construction project management, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

– Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

– Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.

– PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.

– Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.

– Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and drive results.
